Recently, AI CARE Medical Technology Co., LTD (referred to as "AI CARE") received an angel round investment of nearly ten million yuan from two fund entities under Shanghai New Access Capital Management Co., Ltd. At the end of 2022, AI CARE received strategic financing from Shanghai Tukar Capital Management Co., Ltd.
AI CARE, established in 2020, focuses on brain-computer interfaces and exoskeletons, applying technologies such as artificial intelligence, sensors, and nanofabrication to the rehabilitation field. It is committed to developing flexible control exoskeletons based on brain plasticity models and has now developed the "brain-hand interaction" exoskeleton based on these models.
It is reported that AI CARE has launched the first wearable smart rehabilitation glove in China, a wearable smart glove that, when worn on the hand, can autonomously recognize the user's movement intentions and assist users in completing actions such as clenching fists and lifting objects.
"Extracting EMG Signals," "Recognizing Movement Intentions," and "Driving Action Completion" are the three major functional designs of AI CARE's intelligent rehabilitation glove. Among these, the use of artificial intelligence pattern recognition algorithms to enable autonomous learning and recognition of user movement intentions is the key to this glove's "mind-reading" capability.
Compared with the monotonous and tedious rehabilitation movements under traditional physical rehabilitation methods, wearing smart gloves embeds the rehabilitation process into multiple scenarios of patients' daily lives, making the rehabilitation process more capable of meeting the needs of different patients.
AI CARE Medical Technology Co., LTD's products have become a strategic partner of the Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Medical Assistive Devices Engineering Research Center. In 2022, they stood out among the artificial intelligence shortlisted products by China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the National Medical Products Administration, being selected as one of the ten shortlisted products nationwide. As one of the first tech companies to enter the China-Israel (Shanghai) Innovation Park in Putuo District, AI CARE successfully made it onto the list of proposed projects for the "2023 Annual Technological Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Innovation Fund Plan" in Shanghai.
