Ruici Medical and GE Healthcare Jointly Develop Intelligent Imaging Products for Precision Health Checkups
Rui Ci Medical has achieved quality control and service capability improvements across all aspects.

The "2022 China Residents' Health Literacy Monitoring Report" released by the National Health Commission of China shows that the health literacy of Chinese residents has increased from 8.8% in 2012 to 27.78% in 2022. The public's concept of health has undergone a substantive shift from "disease treatment-centered" to "health promotion-centered," leading to a growing demand for high-quality health examination services.

Compared with other companies that achieve expansion through acquisitions, Rich Healthcare insists on adopting a direct operation model, self-operating and self-building, providing unified service standards and professional screening equipment, focusing on controlling every detail to achieve consistent service levels across China.
"At present, the management of our entire health check system adopts a unified standard across China. From ultrasound to CT and MRI examinations, all are conducted using high-end equipment. Even down to a sofa or a cup in the health check center, we manage everything in a standardized manner to facilitate quality control nationwide," introduced Fang Haoze.

This meticulous service concept is not only reflected in operation management but also in all aspects of precise examination. To improve the efficiency of examinations, Rui Ci, in line with the configuration standards of tertiary hospitals, has introduced high-end imaging equipment such as the ultra-high-end 256-slice Revolution CT and Pioneer 3.0T MRI., adhering to the concept of not overlooking any millimeter-sized lesion, strives to maximize the precision detection rate. RICCI's high-end health check brand, Fortuna Health, focuses on personalized custom health check plans and has developed precision screening models targeting high-incidence diseases such as cancer, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, and metabolic disorders.

Taking lung CT screening as an example, some pulmonary nodules with low density and less than 1 centimeter, especially those located behind the heart, next to the mediastinum, beside the spine, or overlapping with the ribs, are very difficult to detect with a chest X-ray. Rui Ci has specifically introduced low-dose spiral CT, which not only reduces radiation dose but also makes the capture of tiny lung lesions clearer and more intuitive.

By integrating the standards of leading medical examination centers both internationally and in China, Rui Ci Medical has achieved a full-process quality control and service capability enhancement, which has already shown results. It has not only been selected as one of the first batch of Health Management Demonstration Bases in China but is also actively working with national standardization departments to explore the "national standards" for the medical examination industry.

The equipment requirements for health checkups and general medical care are not entirely consistent. Healthy populations need equipment that is more efficient, provides more accurate diagnoses, and performs safer examinations (low-dose).To provide precise and customized high-quality health examination services, it is necessary to develop solutions based on the unique needs of healthy individuals."We hope to profoundly change the existing model of the physical examination industry through digital healthcare and artificial intelligence, and participate in health management in an all-round way," said Fang Haoze.
Therefore,Ruici Healthcare has pioneered a new model of cooperation between non-public healthcare providers and equipment manufacturers, co-researching and co-creating with GE Healthcare.According to Fang Haoze, relying on a vast database of healthy individuals, Rich Healthcare and GE Healthcare have jointly developed intelligent imaging products for precision health checkups, promoting early screening of major diseases such as intelligent ultrasound diagnosis of thyroid and breast, and low-dose CT lung cancer screening, accelerating the popularization of high-quality health examination services. In the future, Rich Healthcare will also partner with GE Healthcare to create a smart healthcare innovation center, empowering the whole process of disease management with AI, and enhancing the quality control and efficiency of health examination centers.

Currently, both parties already have a customized CT in development, bringing new ideas for equipment innovation to the physical examination industry.——For the application scenario of health checkups for the general population, Ruici Medical and GE Healthcare have jointly designed and developed from the perspectives of equipment hardware platforms and intelligent software workflows, incorporating the application of digital AI, to co-research and co-create specialized low-dose CT scanners suitable for large-scale population health screenings. Compared to conventional general-purpose equipment, this innovation allows individuals undergoing checkups to obtain more detailed health data through more precise medical equipment examinations, while making it easier for operating physicians and technicians to use. Coupled with the assistance of intelligent AI, it achieves accurate screening and reduces the probability of missed detections. According to Fang Haoze: "The equipment is still in the research stage, but we believe that such innovation will soon bring faster, more precise professional medical devices to meet the needs of the health checkup industry."
As one of the most influential private medical groups in China, Rich Healthcare is now focusing on "1+X" customized health examination services with the concept of "medicine as the foundation and people-oriented". It aims to make physical examinations small yet precise customized screenings. Currently, Rich Healthcare covers first-tier cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen, as well as key second- and third-tier cities in China. The company has established nearly 80 physical examination centers across the country and is steadily growing at a rate of opening 10 to 15 new stores each year.
In response to the more urgent and diversified demands for precise medical checkups, Rui Ci Medical has paved a new path for the non-public health examination industry that is still in its exploratory stage.
