Pharmaceutical Price Cuts Exceed 50%: Liaoning Province Announces New Drug Pricing Adjustments

Recently, the Liaoning Provincial Drug and Medical Consumables Centralized Procurement Website released the "Notice on Adjusting the Results of Voluntary Price Reductions for Some Enterprises' Centralized Volume-based Procurement Products" (hereinafter referred to as the "Notice"), involving the renewal (inquiry) drugs from China’s second and fourth batches of volume-based procurement. The prices have decreased by an average of 50.12%.

According to the review, Qilu Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. has voluntarily applied to the Liaoning Provincial Public Resources Trading Center for a price reduction of the two specifications of injectable bortezomib under the "centralized bulk procurement" listing.

Among them, the price of Bortezomib for Injection (specification: 1.0mg) has been adjusted from the current online price of 570 to 283.61, a decrease of 50.24%; the price of Bortezomib for Injection (specification: 3.5mg) has been adjusted from the current online price of 1480 to 740, a decrease of 50%.

The Notice shows that, after research, the Liaoning Provincial Public Resources Trading Center has agreed to the price reduction application of Qilu Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.
