Danaher Reports Strong Q1 2024 Results with $5.8 Billion in Revenue and Advances in CRISPR and Organoid Technologies

In the first quarter, Danaher announced two Danaher Beacon projects successively, collaborating with Nobel laureate Jennifer Doudna and her founded Innovative Genomics Institute, as well as the Cincinnati Children's Medical Center Research Foundation, to jointly accelerate the advancement of CRISPR therapies and organoid technologies.

In February this year, Danaher announced its commitment to the Science-Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) to establish scientific greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reduction targets, including a long-term goal of achieving net-zero emissions across the value chain by no later than 2050.

Danaher's commitment covers Scope 1, 2, and 3 greenhouse gas emissions, complementing its existing commitment to reduce absolute Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 50.4% from 2021 levels by 2032, contributing to the global response to climate change.

Danaher will submit its greenhouse gas emission reduction targets to SBTi for validation according to SBTi standards.

SBTi is a global climate action organization jointly founded by CDP, the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), the World Resources Institute (WRI), and the World Wildlife Fund (WWF). It aims to promote the establishment of science-based climate emission reduction targets among companies by developing standards, tools, and guidelines, encouraging businesses to adopt more proactive carbon reduction actions and solutions.

As of the end of 2023, more than 4,000 companies and financial institutions are leading the transition to a net-zero economy by setting emission reduction targets and obtaining validation from the SBTi.
