(NYSE: A)Today, it was announced that Simon May has been appointed as the President of the company's Diagnostic and Genomics Group (DGG).Simon May previously served as Executive Vice President and President of the Life Science Group at Bio-Rad Laboratories, Inc., and will join Agilent Technologies (China) Co., Ltd. on May 6.

Before serving as Executive Vice President of Bio-Rad and President of the Life Science Group, Simon May held other key positions at the company, including Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Digital Biology Group, and Senior Vice President of Global Commercial Operations. Prior to joining Bio-Rad in 2014, Simon May worked for Thermo Fisher Scientific for 10 years and also served at MWG Biotech. His career began in a laboratory role, followed by progression into sales, product management, and business leadership positions.
Simon May obtained his bachelor's and doctoral degrees in Genetics/Molecular Biology from the University of Liverpool, UK, and subsequently served as a postdoctoral researcher at the same institution for two years.
