GSK China Has Been Active Recently.
According to media reports, Riccardo Colella, Senior Vice President of GSK Greater China and Intercontinental Region, recently announced important personnel changes to employees:
Qi Xin, currently Vice President of GSK and General Manager of China, has been promoted to Vice President of GSK's Greater China and Intercontinental Region, while also serving as the head of the vaccine business.
Yu Huiming, currently Vice President of GSK and General Manager of Taiwan, will succeed Qi Xin as Vice President of GSK and General Manager of China.

On May 10, Shionogi & Co., Ltd. announced an exclusive licensing agreement with Maze Therapeutics to obtain global exclusive rights to the latter's orally administered Pompe disease therapy, MZE001. Under the agreement, Shionogi will pay an upfront fee of $150 million, while Maze is eligible to receive milestone payments based on development, regulatory, and commercial achievements.

1) Shionogi introduces oral Pompe disease therapy
On May 10, Shionogi announced an exclusive licensing agreement with Maze Therapeutics to obtain the global exclusive rights to the latter's orally-administered Pompe disease therapy, MZE001. Shionogi will pay $150 million upfront, and Maze will be eligible for milestone payments based on development, regulatory, and commercial achievements.
2) Novavax Announces Collaboration Agreement with Sanofi
On May 10, Novavax announced a collaboration agreement with Sanofi. According to the agreement, the two companies will jointly commercialize Novavax's COVID-19 vaccine starting next year and co-develop a combination vaccine targeting coronaviruses and influenza. Under the collaboration, Sanofi will leverage Novavax’s COVID-19 vaccine and its flagship Matrix-M adjuvant technology to develop new vaccine products. As part of the deal, Sanofi will pay Novavax an upfront payment of $500 million and up to $700 million in additional payments upon achieving development, regulatory, and commercial milestones. The total value of this deal is approximately twice Novavax's current market capitalization.
