SCG Therapeutics Presents Promising Preclinical Data of Next-Gen TCR-T Therapy SCG142 for HPV-Associated Cancers at ASGCT Annual Meeting

On May 13, SCG SCIENCE (DALIAN) CO., LTD presented the preclinical data of its next-generation human papillomavirus (HPV)-specific T-cell receptor (TCR) engineered T-cell therapy - SCG142 - in an oral presentation at the 27th American Society of Gene and Cell Therapy Annual Meeting held in Baltimore, USA. The research data demonstrated that the new generation of SCG142 TCR-T cell therapy significantly enhances T-cell proliferation and tumor suppression, exhibiting excellent anti-tumor activity and good safety in HPV-related tumor models.

According to the disclosed content, compared with traditional TCR-T cell therapy, the next-generation TCR-T cell therapy enhanced by a chimeric switch receptor demonstrated in both in vitro and in vivo models that SCG142 can dual-activate CD8+ and CD4+ TCR T cells to exert potent anti-tumor activity in an inhibitory tumor microenvironment without relying on CD8 co-receptor signaling. It also promotes the long-term persistence of memory T cells, playing a key role in achieving the durable therapeutic effects of immune cell therapy. Additionally, the high-affinity characteristic of SCG142 allows it to simultaneously recognize various HPV-related tumors, such as cervical cancer associated with HPV-16 and HPV-52 genotypes, significantly increasing patient population coverage.
