On May 14, 2024, Gilead (GILD.US) and Arcellx registered a Phase III clinical trial for Anitocabtagene Autoleucel in the treatment of relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma on Clinicaltrials.gov. This Phase III clinical trial is scheduled to commence in October this year, planning to enroll 450 patients with relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma, with preliminary completion expected by 2028.

On May 9, Arcellx announced the experimental design of the Phase III clinical trial iMMagine-3, in which 450 patients were randomly assigned 1:1 to receive Anito-cel treatment or standard treatment. The collaboration with Gilead allows for the use of Kite's advanced production technology. The pivotal clinical trial iMMagine-1 for Anito-cel as a later-line treatment is ongoing, with the latest data expected to be released by the end of this year. This marks the launch of a Phase III validation clinical trial for frontline treatment.
