Quest Diagnostics Partners with PathAI to Advance AI-Driven Digital Pathology

Quest DiagnosticsAnnounced a series of collaboration and acquisition agreements with PathAI aimed at accelerating the adoption of digital and AI-driven pathology technologies.

According to the terms of these agreements,Quest Diagnostics to Acquire Certain Assets of PathAI Diagnostic, the Anatomical and Digital Pathology Laboratory Services Business of PathAI. It will alsoObtain a license for PathAI's AISight Digital Pathology Management System, to support pathology laboratories and customer sites in the United States, and will become the preferred provider for PathAI's biopharmaceutical clinical laboratory services.

PathAI Diagnostics' laboratory in Memphis, Tennessee will become Quest's AI and Digital R&D and Solutions Center, supporting Quest's professional pathology services, including AmeriPath and Dermpath Diagnostics.

This transaction is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2024. The financial and other terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
