New Journey Hospital Group Invests $42.6 Million In Lanzhou Heavy Ion Hospital
New Journey Hospital Group just signed an equity investment agreement with a heavy ion hospital in Lanzhou. The agreement will let both parties to form the joint board of directors and are responsible for clinical management, hospital operations, and post-management.
Lanzhou Heavy Ion Hospital plans to enter clinical trials by the end of 2019, most of the equipment is set up, the hospital plans to have 1800 beds. Heavy ion radiation can be used for radiation therapy, and the average treatment period of the patient will be shorter than the usual X-ray treatment period.
The first step of the heavy ion project is to build and operate the Lanzhou Heavy Ion Hospital; then cooperate with the Asset Management Company of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Institute of Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences to industrialize the heavy ion medical equipment; the third step is to make Lanzhou Heavy Ion Hospital become the training base for heavy ion professionals in China.
