During the selection process, 36Kr adopted targeted evaluation methods for different types of candidates: the selection logic for Under 36 investors was still based on performance and peer reviews; while the evaluation for Under 36 entrepreneurs and scientists was completed through initial screening by the editorial department and investor voting.

36Kr pointed out that the ages of the selected investors are mostly concentrated at 34 or 35 (19/36), with an average of about 10 years in the industry—this means they have just completed a full "fundraising, investment, management, and exit" cycle, achieving the first self-validation of their careers.

More than one-third of the innovative fields focused on by all selected entrepreneurs and scientists are concentrated in the pan-AI field (including large models, AI applications, algorithms, etc.), followed by embodied intelligence, consumer electronics, mass consumption, healthcare, new energy, and new materials.More than one-third of the selected companies are profitable.
