Revolutionizing Visualization Technology: Augmented Reality Platform Enhances Cranial Surgery

Key features of the system include:
Preset trajectory projection helps doctors plan the movement path of tools before surgery.
Adjust the transparency of surgical tools to optimize the visualization of the surgical area.
Pre-select implants and quickly access surgical tools during the operation.
With O-armO2Imaging system integration reduces reliance on intraoperative fluoroscopy and lowers radiation exposure risks for doctors and staff.
In 2021, Medtronic announced its collaboration withMarket Leader in VR/AR Healthcare ServicesSurgical Theatre Cooperation,Provide an augmented reality platform for skull surgery.

Treating brain tumors, aneurysms, and neurological disorders ranks among the highest-risk and most complex surgical procedures. Real-time access to the most detailed patient-specific information, such as the spatial relationships between vascular structures, arteries, and white matter locations, is crucial.
Medtronic will integrate the Stealth Station S8 surgical navigation system withSurgical TheatreTheSyncAR TechnologyConnected, will360° Rendering Coverage ARBring into cranial surgery to enhance the visibility of neurosurgeons during the surgical process.
SyncAR technology aims to allow surgeons, before entering the operating room, to visualize brain structures through rehearsal simulation technology, test virtual surgical tools, and plan surgeries.
