Hepa Thera Presents HT-101, an siRNA Therapy, at EASL 2024 Annual Meeting, Showcasing Latest Research Achievements.HT-101 is an N-acetylgalactosamine (GalNAc)-conjugated small interfering ribonucleic acid (siRNA) developed by Hepa Thera for the treatment of chronic hepatitis B.Phase Ia study showed that HT-101 had good safety and tolerability in healthy subjects with a single subcutaneous dose (up to 800mg). Phase Ib study demonstrated that HT-101 effectively suppressed hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) production in chronic hepatitis B patients after two subcutaneous doses administered four weeks apart. By week 8, the HBsAg level in the 400mg dose group decreased by 2.67 Log, showing a continued downward trend, with an inhibition rate surpassing that of competing products.Hepa Thera, established in May 2021, is a biotechnology company focused on the development of innovative drugs for the treatment of liver diseases. The company leverages technologies such as RNA interference, antibodies, fusion proteins, and gene editing to address unmet needs in the treatment of various liver conditions, including hepatitis B, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, liver fibrosis, cirrhosis, and autoimmune liver diseases.
