On June 14, 2024, MSD registered the 10th global Phase III clinical trial of SKB264 (MK-2870) on the Clinicaltrials.gov website for second-line treatment of recurrent or metastatic cervical cancer.

This Phase III clinical trial plans to enroll 686 patients with recurrent or metastatic cervical cancer, comparing against physician's choice of standard therapy (TF ADC or chemotherapy), with an expected completion in 2028.



MSD has cumulatively initiated 10 global Phase III clinical trials around SKB264 (MK-2870), covering multiple cancer types including non-small cell lung cancer, endometrial cancer, breast cancer, gastric cancer, and cervical cancer.
MK-2870-004:Non-small cell lung cancer with EGFR mutations, treated with 1 or 2 EGFR-TKIs and 1 platinum-based chemotherapy, 556 cases;
MK-2870-005:Advanced endometrial cancer, 710 cases;
MK-2870-007:High PD-L1 expression (TPS≥50%) in metastatic non-small cell lung cancer, 614 cases;
MK-2870-009:Non-small cell lung cancer with EGFR mutation that progressed after EGFR-TKI treatment, 520 cases;
MK-2870-010:Locally Advanced or Metastatic HR+/HER2- Breast Cancer, 1200 Cases;
MK-2870-012: Adjuvant treatment for triple-negative breast cancer that did not achieve pCR after surgery with previous PD-1 + chemotherapy neoadjuvant therapy, 1530 cases;
MK-2870-015:Recurrent or metastatic gastric cancer, 450 cases;
MK-2870-019: Adjuvant treatment for NSCLC patients (resectable Stage II-IIIB (N2)) who previously received neoadjuvant Keytruda with platinum-doublet chemotherapy and did not achieve pathological complete response after surgery, 780 cases;
MK-2870-020: Second-line treatment for recurrent or metastatic cervical cancer, 686 cases;
MK-2870-023: First-line treatment for metastatic non-small cell lung cancer, 851 cases.
