Enveda Biosciences Files for IPO Following $230M Funding to Advance AI-Driven Natural Product Drug Discovery

On June 14, in Boulder, Colorado, Enveda Biosciences ("Enveda"), a biotechnology company leveraging artificial intelligence to transform nature into novel medicines, announced the completion of a $55 million Series B2 financing round, supplementing its previous $119 million Series B and B1 rounds. New investors Premji Invest, Lingotto Investment Fund, Microsoft, and The Nature Conservancy joined existing investors Kinnevik, True Ventures, FPV, Level Ventures, and Jazz Venture Partners in this round. Enveda is a drug discovery and development company that uses cutting-edge artificial intelligence technology to transform nature into new medicines. The company's proprietary platform addresses long-standing barriers in natural product drug discovery for the first time on a large scale, including active molecule identification, property and structure prioritization, adaptability in medicinal chemistry, and large-scale material procurement.

This new funding will be used to support the further development of Enveda's breakthrough platform, which recently nominated its sixth New Chemical Entity (NCE) development candidate program, as well as the parallel Phase I clinical development of Enveda’s top three leading programs. These programs are scheduled to enter clinical trials in late 2024 and early 2025. Enveda’s lead program for treating atopic dermatitis is a novel, first-in-class oral anti-inflammatory agent that has demonstrated significant efficacy and high safety in preclinical studies. Following closely is another novel first-in-class anti-inflammatory drug that inhibits multiple cytokine signaling cascades in the gut, offering potential for inflammatory bowel disease.（IBD）Powerful efficacy obtained in the model.
