Lunan Pharmaceutical's Rosuvastatin Calcium Tablets Approved for Market Entry in Nepal

Recently, the WeChat Official Account of Lunan Pharmaceutical Group Corporation announced that Shandong New Time Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. had received the import license for Rosuvastatin Calcium Tablets issued by the Nepal Drug Administration [Certificate Numbers: 3800829150722 (5mg), 3800530165754 (10mg)], marking the approval for this product to enter the Nepalese market. The same production line and process for this product were previously approved by the U.S. FDA in October 2021 and by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan in May 2024.

Rosuvastatin Calcium Tablets are mainly used to treat primary hypercholesterolemia (type IIa, including heterozygous familial hypercholesterolemia) or mixed dyslipidemia (type IIb) that cannot be adequately controlled by dietary management and other non-pharmacological treatments (e.g., exercise therapy, weight reduction). The product is also suitable for patients with homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia as an adjunctive therapy to dietary control and other lipid-lowering measures (e.g., LDL apheresis), or when these methods are not applicable.

The approval of Rosuvastatin Calcium Tablets in Nepal, following their approval in the United States and Uzbekistan, marks another significant achievement in the international market expansion of Lunan Pharmaceutical Group.
