Viva Vision Biopharma Completed 65 Million Yuan C Round Financing, To Accelerate the Clinical Development of Innovative Ophthalmic Drugs
On September 26, 2019, Viva Vision Biopharma completed a new fund of 65 million yuan, led by Beida Biomedical Industry Fund, and followed by Ming Bioventures, Changrong Capital, Yingqi Investment, JMCR, and Donghan International. The financing will be used to support the American clinical research of VVN001, the innovative medicine for dry eye developed by Viva Vision Biopharma.
Founded by Dr. Shen Wang and Viva Biotech, Viva Vision Biopharma closed on 20 million yuan Series A financing in 2016 and 50 million yuan Series B financing in 2018. The company is committed to the research and development of innovative ophthalmic medicine and has established a leading product pipeline.
The founder, Dr. Shen Wang, has been engaged in innovative drug development for more than 20 years. During this period, he led his team to successfully develop two kinds of drugs-- Lifitegrast and Venetoclax.
