Novo Nordisk CEO to Testify Before U.S. Senate Panel on Pricing of Weight-Loss Drugs Ozempic and Wegovy

Gelonghui June 25 | Bernie Sanders, Chairman of the U.S. Senate Health Committee and Senator, said on Monday that Lars Jorgensen, CEO of Novo Nordisk, will testify at a hearing on September 24 regarding the pricing of weight-loss drugs Ozempic and Wegovy in the United States. In a statement, Sanders said, "The committee looks forward to Mr. Jorgensen answering a very simple question: Why does he think it is acceptable for Ozempic and Wegovy to cost 10 or 15 times more in the U.S. than in Europe and other major countries?"
