SPH Holdings Facilitates Eisai’s New Drug Leqembi® Commercial Launch in China, with Commercial Insurance Beneficiaries Set to Be First Recipients

According to Shanghai Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., the company has successfully assisted in the commercial launch of Le Yibao®, a new product under its import general agency. As of June 27, orders have been placed with 54 customers across 30 provinces in China. Day and night, the company has been delivering hope to patients with Alzheimer's disease (AD). At 10:00 a.m. on May 23, 2024, the highly anticipated new product Le Yibao® from Eisai successfully arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport. Customs inspection was completed at 3:00 p.m., after which it was transported to the Lingang Bonded Warehouse of Shanghai Pharmaceutical International Supply Chain Co., Ltd. The product’s warehousing, inspection, and shelving were all completed on the same night. After prior appointment, the Shanghai Institute for Food and Drug Control (Shanghai Institute) expedited the sampling process the following morning. The samples were sealed, packed, and arranged to be sent overnight via a dedicated vehicle to the National Institutes for Food and Drug Control (NIFDC).On the afternoon of June 26, MediTrust Health's LeYiBao® obtained the drug inspection report issued by the National Institutes for Food and Drug Control (NIFDC). Through the coordinated efforts of the Shanghai Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. team, all process nodes were expedited and specially approved, allowing the first batch of orders to be completed urgently in the shortest possible time.
