Recently, ASOcura announced the completion of a nearly 100-million-yuan Series A financing round. This round was led by SDIC Venture Capital, with follow-up investments from existing shareholders and Ruihe Venture Capital's SCA3 Industry Fund, supporting ASOcura in advancing new technology research and development, commercial production implementation, and international business strategy layout. The funds raised will be used to accelerate the advancement of products targeting indications such as Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, Spinocerebellar Ataxia, and Huntington's Disease, while applying for registration and clinical trials, promoting the development of multiple subsequent innovative pipeline products, and fostering international cooperation.

Founded in 2017, ASOcura is the first company in China to develop ASO drugs targeting RNA processing, focusing on technological innovation. In recent years, it has made breakthrough progress in the fields of RNA splicing regulation and novel RNA processing.

Currently, ASOcura has more than ten R&D pipelines. Among them, the drug development targeting Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) and Spinocerebellar Ataxia Type 3 (SCA3) has achieved encouraging preclinical data, showing significant clinical R&D value. Notably, FY015A, a product for SCA3, has successfully completed dosing in two patients in a recently initiated IIT clinical study, with no drug-related adverse events observed.

Regarding this investment, SDIC Venture Capital stated that it is optimistic about ASOcura's innovative capabilities and development potential in the field of RNA-targeted antisense oligonucleotides (ASO). It hopes that this round of funding will advance ASOcura’s research and development progress across multiple pipelines, especially for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and Spinocerebellar Ataxia Type 3. This financing represents another significant layout by SDIC Venture Capital in the life sciences and healthcare sector. In the future, they will continue to actively seek out and support life science and healthcare projects with innovation and market potential, jointly promoting the rapid development of the life sciences and healthcare industry in China.

It is reported that, with the funds in place, ASOcura plans to accelerate the preparation for clinical trials of its multiple ASO drug projects and expand its R&D team to enhance the company's original R&D capabilities. In addition, the company will strengthen cooperation with scientific research institutions and biopharmaceutical enterprises both in China and abroad, jointly promoting scientific research and drug development in the fields of neuromuscular diseases, cancer, and more.
