Bone Graft Material Developer

Developer of Human Tissue Repair and Organ Regeneration Products

Developer of Extracorporeal Artificial Heart Devices
Recently, the Global MedTech Conference 2024 and the Global Biomedical Conference 2024 announced the Global Innovative Medical Device Awards. Only six companies in China were selected, two of which are from Medpark: Neo Modulus and magAssist.

Every year, more innovative medical devices are approved for registration and launched globally. As a technology media outlet dedicated to observing advancements in global medical technology daily, the Siyu MedTech Matrix has established the "Global Innovative Medical Device Award" and announced the top 20 innovative medical device products of 2023 at the end of the year. Through a series of award selections, we aim to highlight the most remarkable achievements and breakthrough innovations in the medical device industry.
On June 28, 2024, Siyu announced the first batch of innovative device awards for 2024 at the Global Medical Technology Conference. (The award-winning scope includes innovative devices approved for NMPA listing from December 2, 2023, to the present. Only the best of the best are selected.)
Neo Modulus
Neo Modulus® Gelatin-Polycaprolactone Layered Gingival Repair Membrane

"Neo Modulus® Gelatin-Polycaprolactone Layered Gingival Repair Membrane" is the first domestically produced passive implantable dental instrument in China to be approved for entry into the National Innovative Medical Device Special Review Procedure and subsequently authorized for market release. It is suitable for widening keratinized gingiva and deepening the vestibular groove in the oral cavity. By combining electrospinning with in-situ thermal cross-linking technology, the product achieves the integration of various natural polymer materials, balancing regenerative performance with mechanical strength. The innovative process technology precisely controls the diameter of nanofibers, enabling unique molding design applications that rapidly guide cell ingrowth and achieve periodontal soft tissue augmentation. During surgery, this product eliminates the need for a second surgical site, reduces operation time, and delivers excellent aesthetic outcomes. Its market launch fills an industry gap, offering patients a new treatment option as an alternative to the clinical gold standard FGG (Free Gingival Graft). It is widely used in dentistry, particularly in mainstream subfields with high aesthetic demands such as implants, periodontics, orthodontics, and restorative treatments, including public hospitals, private medical institutions, and clinics.
Company Introduction

Neo Modulus was founded in 2017. The company has established a mainstream technology platform in the field of tissue engineering, focusing on the development of nanoscale tissue engineering scaffolds to achieve complex tissue regeneration and organ reconstruction. It has laid out over 20 Class III medical devices, including those for periodontal soft tissue augmentation and cartilage regeneration, aspiring to become a global leader in regenerative medicine.
magAssist
MoyoAssist® Fully Magnetically Levitated Ventricular Assist Device

MoyoAssist® is the first extracorporeal fully magnetically levitated artificial heart in China, a National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) innovative medical device. It was officially approved for marketing this April and completed the first commercial application in China in June. MoyoAssist® is a fully magnetically levitated centrifugal pump designed to provide medium- to short-term extracorporeal ventricular assistance. It can be used in critical conditions requiring temporary cardiac pumping support, such as heart failure and cardiogenic shock. The product utilizes globally advanced computational fluid dynamics technology and fully magnetic levitation technology to ensure blood compatibility, providing support for up to 30 days. It supports multiple modes, including post-cardiac surgery patients unable to wean from extracorporeal circulation, bridging to cardiac function recovery, or transitioning to other long-term alternative therapies.
Company Introduction

magAssist (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. was founded in 2017, led by Dr. Po-Lin Hsu, a member of national-level talent programs, the first Chinese committee member of the International Society of Mechanical Circulatory Support (ISMCS), and a distinguished professor at Soochow University. The company was co-founded with an expert team of top-tier professionals from home and abroad who have long been engaged in the development of artificial organs. magAssist is committed to building a next-generation life-support platform for critical care scenarios and currently has four key product lines: the world's smallest interventional artificial heart, China’s first extracorporeal fully magnetically levitated artificial heart, a next-generation portable ECMO system, and a warm blood organ transport platform.

Medpark is a national-level medical device science and technology industrial park jointly built by Suzhou New District and the Suzhou Institute of Biomedical Engineering Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. It is responsible for coordinating the resources of Suzhou New District, relying on three core capabilities: "carrier development and construction + park operation + industrial investment," focusing on the development of the medical device industry, and striving to build a high-end medical device industry highland with uniqueness, leadership, and标志性.
Currently, the products in the industrial park cover fields such as medical imaging, biomedical materials, in vitro diagnostics, and medical robotics. Many of the technological achievements are the first of their kind in China and are leading the industry.
Over the more than ten years since its establishment, Medpark has successively received national honorary titles such as the National Torch Plan Medical Device Specialty Base, the Pilot Project of the National Innovative Medical Device Industry Cluster, the National Medical Device Professional Incubator, and the Demonstration Unit for the Construction of the National Science and Technology Business Incubation Chain.
