Luo Wen

Chairman and General Manager of Suoyuan Biomedicine

Dr. Wen Luo is the founder and chairman of Suoyuan Biomedicine (Hangzhou) Co., Ltd., with years of experience in genomics, precision medicine, and innovative drug development for cancer and psychiatric disorders. Before founding Suoyuan Biomedicine, Dr. Luo worked at Ligand Pharmaceuticals in the United States, where he led and participated in the development of several second-generation nuclear hormone receptor modulators. He conducted research on the molecular mechanisms of hormone receptors, tissue-organ selectivity, and the establishment of drug screening assays, while also being responsible for formulating and implementing biomarker strategies for various drugs at different stages of development.

Dr. Luo Wen also developed new protease drug targets at Corvas Biotechnology in the United States, and worked at Incyte Genomics, Inc., where he was involved in managing LifeProt, then the world's largest proteome database. During this time, he engaged in the research and development of novel drug target genes and their splice variants. He also worked at Sugen Biotechnology on discovering and validating new drug targets in the fields of cancer, immunological diseases, and angiogenesis. Dr. Luo Wen studied at Peking Union Medical College and Indiana University School of Medicine in Indiana, obtaining a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry, and served as a postdoctoral researcher at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, University of California, San Francisco.

Guo Xiaoning

Dr. Guo Xiaoning currently serves as the co-founder and CEO of BenePharma Bio, where she is fully responsible for formulating and executing the company's strategic goals, overseeing operational management, advancing the clinical translation of scientific research achievements, and building a globally pioneering product pipeline.

Dr. Guo Xiaoning has over 20 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical and R&D fields, including more than 10 years of experience in multinational pharmaceutical companies and global CROs in clinical development and portfolio management. He has published more than ten papers in authoritative academic journals both domestically and internationally, led multiple clinical R&D projects with a cumulative project value of hundreds of millions of yuan. Dr. Guo has abundant achievements in scientific discovery and technology management, including leading the translational medicine research for the world's first PARP inhibitor, directing global clinical trials for several innovative drugs from Phase I to Phase III, and successfully filing for new drug approvals in China.

Before joining Bionno Pharm, Dr. Guo Xiaoning served as the Chief Medical Officer of Neurophth Biotechnology, Vice President and Head of R&D and Chief Medical Officer of SciClone Pharmaceuticals, and Vice General Manager and Chief Medical Officer of Jiaochen Biotech. She was responsible for the development and lifecycle management of multiple innovative drug pipelines, leading her team’s R&D products toward globalization and commercialization. Earlier in her career, Dr. Guo worked at AstraZeneca, Johnson & Johnson, and Covance, helping companies formulate dual submission policies for China-U.S. and China-Australia, leading several global R&D and clinical development projects for new drugs, and achieving the market launch of multiple innovative drugs produced in China.

Zhong Xia

Vice Director of R&D at Genetron Health

Ph.D. candidate at China Agricultural University, has been engaged in the research and development of in vitro diagnostic reagents related to tumors, and obtained the title of Senior Engineer in 2022. At Genetron Health, participated in and led the R&D work of more than twenty projects, covering the development of customized testing kits on various QPCR, digital PCR, and NGS platforms. Developed and established multiple testing workflows on different NGS platforms, such as one-step gene methylation library construction, MRD detection for hematological malignancies, etc.

In addition, participated in the calibration work of the KRAS and EGFR gene national reference materials by the National Institutes for Food and Drug Control (NIFDC), and the key national R&D plan “Research and Evaluation of Liquid Biopsy Technology for Early Screening and Diagnosis of Malignant Tumors” led by the Cancer Hospital of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences. Developed and transformed a liver cancer 6-gene methylation screening kit, during which two invention patents were applied for and obtained.
