According to public information, Circle Pharma recently completed the first part of its Series D financing, raising approximately $54 million from more than a dozen investors.Investors include The Column Group, Nextech Invest, Pandect Bioventures, and Eli Lilly and Company.The company aims to complete a $117 million Series D financing round.

Circle Pharma submitted the first IND application for its lead project, the potential "first-in-class" therapy CID-078, last week.CID-078 is an orally available macrocycle designed to selectively inhibit key protein-protein interactions involving cyclins A and B, which are associated with the proliferation and survival of cancer cells.Preclinical studies have demonstrated the efficacy of this therapy in multiple E2F-overexpressing tumors, including small cell lung cancer, triple-negative breast cancer, and others. This IND application includes comprehensive data from preclinical studies, which demonstrate the safety, efficacy, and pharmacokinetic profile of CID-078.
