Innovative Cell Therapy Developer
On the morning of July 11, the Suzhou Industrial Park Global Talent Recruitment Conference and the 2024 Sixteenth Suzhou International Elite Entrepreneurship Week Park Sub-venue grandly opened. Nanjing CART Medical Technologies, Ltd.'s "TCR-like CAR-T" received special funding from the National Innovation Center's "Challenge Grant" program and completed the signing.

The National Biopharmaceutical Innovation Center is a crucial platform in China’s biopharmaceutical sector, continuously driving the tackling of key common technologies. Cell therapy is a key focus of the Center's technological efforts. The "Challenge Leader" technology project for cell therapy aims to conduct forward-looking and innovative research in cell therapy technology, promoting breakthroughs in major technological challenges that are urgently needed across the entire cell therapy industry chain—where patent technology is restricted and clinical application orientation is prominent—laying a solid foundation for meeting clinical needs with cell therapies.
Receiving special funding from the national “Challenge Grant” project signifies that Nanjing CART Medical Technologies, Ltd has gained national recognition for its innovative leading position in the field of cell therapy. This further confirms the company's robust R&D capabilities and technical accumulation in the biopharmaceutical industry. CART Medical is committed to addressing T-cell exhaustion within the tumor microenvironment and aims to maintain long-lasting CAR-T activation at tumor sites.
"Basic and Clinical Translation Research of TCR-like CAR-T Cells Targeting MSLN for Ovarian Cancer Treatment" is another T-cell activation platform technology independently developed by Nanjing CART Medical Technologies, Ltd. TCR-Like CAR-T combines the dual advantages of CAR-T and TCR-T: it is highly consistent with CAR-T in terms of recognition and engineering; while in T-cell activation, it fully utilizes the panoramic signaling system of TCR, without the need for HLA matching, offering higher feasibility in production processes. It is expected to address the dual challenges of poor efficacy and manufacturing difficulties in solid tumor treatment, showing great potential for drug development in cellular therapy for solid tumors.
Through this partnership, Nanjing CART Medical Technologies, Ltd will collaborate with Suzhou Industrial Park. Relying on the innovative platforms and key national laboratories within the park, as well as its talent and research advantages, the company will focus on advancing its new drug pipeline development. By conducting innovative research, it aims to promote the development of Class 1 new therapeutics for solid tumors and provide important solutions for the clinical treatment of malignant solid tumors using next-generation adoptive T-cell therapy.
