Recently, Robotrak Technologies ushered in dual good news with its independently developedRanklight® Intelligent Retinal Navigation Laser Receives Class III Medical Device Registration Certificate from China's National Medical Products Administration, while the companyAwarded as the "Outstanding Unit in the AI Medical Device Innovation Task by the MIIT and NMPA"Its "Ophthalmic All-Solid-State Laser Photocoagulator" (also known as: ZhiGuang® Intelligent Retinal Navigation Laser)Successfully Selected as "Intelligent Auxiliary Treatment Product", Project No.: 2024-AIFZZL-02015.
The ChiGuang® Intelligent Fundus Navigation Laser not only addresses multiple pain points of traditional slit-lamp laser treatment but also offers significant advantages such as intelligence, speed, and precision. With the integration of 5G technology, this device can also enable remote laser treatment, facilitating the further penetration of fundus laser photocoagulation technology and improving the accessibility of high-quality medical resources in China, benefiting tens of millions of patients with fundus diseases.
Since 2021, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the National Medical Products Administration have jointly launched the AI Medical Device Innovation Task Public Challenge. A total of 1,035 projects were submitted across China. After multiple rounds of selection, 221 teams (72 on the main list and 149 with potential) with strong foundations, high clinical value, and advanced technical capabilities entered the final stage. Following two years of in-depth research and development, 104 organizations (67 key industry enterprises and 37 authoritative medical institutions) stood out and were awarded the title of "Outstanding Unit in the AI Medical Device Innovation Task Public Challenge."
