Sierra Medical Secures Hundreds of Millions in Funding to Accelerate Domestic Innovation in High-End Ophthalmic Surgical Devices

Recently, Sierra Medical completed a new round of financing worth hundreds of millions, following nearly RMB100 million in funding in 2023. This round was led by Beijing Qiwo Boxing Management Consulting Co., Ltd., with participation from Suzhou Aibo Qingshi Biomedical Venture Capital Partnership (Limited Partnership), Ai'eryangu (Wenzhou) Venture Capital Partnership Enterprise (Limited Partnership), HLC, and Nantong Caleb Investment Management Center (Limited Partnership). Existing shareholder Apricot capital continued to increase its investment.This round of funding will also accelerate the research, development, clinical trials, and registration of the company's first self-developed phacoemulsification and vitrectomy product line.

Sierra Medical was founded in July 2022 as an innovative medical device enterprise integrating research and development, production, and sales. It focuses on providing precise, intelligent, minimally invasive surgical treatment solutions for ophthalmology. Its current products under development mainly include phacoemulsification and vitrectomy integrated machines and their supporting consumables, digital surgical microscopes, and other high-end ophthalmic surgical instruments.
