In 2024, the cell therapy industry in China continues to show strong development momentum, with frequent investment and financing activities. According to incomplete statistics,In the first half of the year, there were 25 financing events in China's cell therapy industry.，Since the second half of the year, 11 cell therapy companies have completed new rounds of financing.。

These financing events cover a variety of cell therapy technologies, including CAR-T, CAR-NK, TCR-T, stem cell therapy, etc., and many companies are developing universal cell therapies to address the long treatment cycles and limited accessibility faced in current autologous cell therapy.
In the financing cases in the first half of the year, companies such as Shanghai Xinyi Pharmaceutical R&D (Group) Co., Ltd., NanHua Bio-medicine Co.,Ltd., Simnova, and UniXelI BIOTECHNOLOGY raised relatively high amounts. Shanghai Xinyi Pharmaceutical R&D (Group) Co., Ltd. completed angel round and Pre-A round financing totaling approximately 359 million RMB. NanHua Bio-medicine Co.,Ltd. received strategic investment of 276 million RMB. Simnova completed an A+ round of financing worth 200 million RMB. After securing over 100 million RMB in Series A financing in April, UniXelI BIOTECHNOLOGY received another multi-million yuan A+ round of financing in July.
In addition, recentlyFosun Pharma wholly owns Fosun Kite and plans to inject an additional US$10 million or equivalent RMB into Fosun Kite to promote the R&D and commercialization of CAR-T products.This indicates that the cell therapy industry is not only continuously innovating at the technological level but also receiving significant attention in the capital market.
The rapid development of cell therapy technology, particularly its potential in treating cancer, immune system diseases, and neurodegenerative conditions, has attracted significant investment. As the technology matures and the market expands, financing and investment activities within the cell therapy industry are expected to remain robust in the future.
