Dr. Zhang Yongke

Chief Scientific Officer of IASO Bio

Dr. Zhang Yongke is a leader with outstanding achievements and a profound academic background in the field of biopharmaceutical R&D, possessing over 20 years of research and development experience in biomedicine, as well as nearly 10 years of experience in the diagnosis, treatment, and clinical research of oncology and autoimmune diseases.

Before joining IASO Bio, Dr. Yongke Zhang accumulated extensive experience in the U.S. biopharmaceutical industry. He served as the co-founder and chief scientist of Abcyte Therapeutics in the United States, advancing multiple antibody and multi-functional CAR-T research and development projects, including the development of Narlumab Injection for the Chinese market. Additionally, he was the co-founder and senior director of R&D at Apenxigen, leading the development of the anti-advanced pancreatic cancer drug CD40 agonist immunomodulatory antibody (sotigalimab).

Prior to this, Dr. Zhang Yongke served as the Director of Therapeutic Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody Development at Epitomics in the United States, leading the development of multiple antibody drugs, among which the rabbit monoclonal antibody-derived Brolucizumab was successfully launched. During his tenure at PDL Biopharma (now AbbVie), he worked as a senior scientist and research team leader, heading and participating in the development of several antibody drugs, including the successful launch of Elotuzumab.

Dr. Zhang Yongke holds a joint clinical medicine Ph.D. from Beijing Medical University/Chiba University in Japan, a Ph.D. in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Tokyo, and postdoctoral research experience at DNAX Research Institute (now Merck Research Laboratories) in the United States.
