Together with experts, they released the latest clinical research on Essilor's Stellest technology for children who have not yet developed myopia. This marks the first randomized controlled trial using plano lenses for myopia prevention. Since its global debut at the CIIE in 2020, Essilor's Stellest myopia control lenses have helped countless children slow down the progression of myopia under the continuous influence of the spillover effect. As a new breakthrough in existing products, the plano Stellest lenses were showcased at this year’s CIIE, further enhancing the solutions for managing myopia among children and adolescents, shifting from "control" to "prevention."

At this year’s CIIE, Professor Zhi Chen from the Eye, Ear, Nose, and Throat Hospital of Fudan University was invited to release his team's latest clinical study based on this product—a randomized controlled trial on the use of plano lenses for myopia prevention. Professor Chen Zhi stated that for children with low hyperopia reserve, wearing Essilor Stellest plano lenses for more than 30 hours per week can slow down axial length growth, and the longer the wear time, the more significant the effect.
