Today (November 22), Enka Therapeutics (Shanghai Enka Cell Technology Co., Ltd.) announced the completionTens of Millions of Yuan in A++ Round Financing, Led by 3SBio, with Follow-up Investments from Zhangke Herun, Yijin Capital, etc.。According to the press release, the funds raised in this round will be used to accelerate the research and development and clinical trial process of Enkaipharma's pipeline products.

Enkaicell was founded by a core technical team led by Academician Zhigang Tian.Focus on the research and development and production of innovative cell-based drugs based on NK cells, aiming to address the challenges in treating major clinical diseases (cancer, autoimmune diseases, aging and degenerative diseases, immunodeficiency and related conditions)., committed to providing more effective and safer precision immunotherapy for patients.

In 2024, two NK cell products from Enkaicell have successively received clinical trial (IND) approvals from the U.S. FDA and China's NMPA.Enkaipharma announced that it will initiate the Phase 1 clinical trial of the aforementioned product by the end of this year.. Among them,Non-genetically Modified Natural Killer Cell InjectionNK010 has been approved by the U.S. FDA to commence Phase 1 clinical research. This is a non-gene-modified allogeneic peripheral blood NK cell drug, with ovarian cancer as the primary indication explored in Phase 1 clinical trials.Allogeneic Peripheral Blood-Derived Universal Gene-Modified NK Cell InjectionNK042 cell injection was approved for clinical use in China this May, with the potential to treat solid tumors, hematological tumors, and non-tumor diseases.

At the same time, in non-oncology fields, there are multiple Investigator-Initiated Trials (IIT) ongoing.
