Recently, Beijing Yimiao Shenzhou Medical Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Yimiao Shenzhou") announced the official completion of a financing round of several hundred million RMB in its E-round. This round of financing was led by the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Collaborative Development Industrial Investment Fund, with participation from Taiping Medical Health Fund, Capital Development Group, Si Ji Qing Investment, Sunshine Nuohé, and other professional institutions.
Notably, this is the 10th round of strategic financing completed by Beijing Yimiaoshenzhou Medical Techology Co., Ltd. on the occasion of its 10th anniversary.
It is reported that the funds from this round of financing will be used to support the commercialization layout of the company's first self-developed CAR-T new drug, IM19, promoting it to become a benchmark product for late-stage lymphoma CAR-T treatment in China after its approval, providing patients with a new treatment option. At the same time, the funds will also accelerate the research and development as well as clinical progress of new processes and products in major disease areas such as hematological tumors, solid tumors, and autoimmune diseases. This will help build a leading technology platform in China for next-generation gene and cell drug technologies like rapid CAR-T, universal CAR-T, and gene editing, and advance the establishment of an industry-leading large-scale GMP manufacturing base, injecting strong momentum into the company’s development.
Yimiao Shenzhou, established in April 2015, is an immunotherapy R&D institution that provides users with cancer diagnosis and treatment services based on the CAR-T immunotherapy. Founders He Ting, Lu Xin'an, and Qi Feifei are three doctoral graduates from the School of Life Sciences at Tsinghua University.
