IVIEW Therapeutics Secures Series A++ Funding to Advance Ophthalmic Innovation Pipeline

Recently,iVIEW Therapeutics, Inc. announced the completion of its Series A++ financing round, led by Chongqing Changsheng Shenghe Pharmaceutical Private Equity Investment Fund Partnership Enterprise (Limited Partnership), with follow-on investments from Hangzhou Jiurun Investment and Hangzhou Yilu Medical. Existing investors Proxima Ventures Fund I L.P. and Proxima Capital continued to support with additional investments.

The proceeds of this round of financing will be used to advance the clinical trials and registration of the company's R&D pipeline projects.Mainly supporting the clinical research of IVW-1001, a first-in-class innovative chemical drug targeting novel pathways for the treatment of dry eye disease developed by the company. This project has completed the treatment of all patients in the Phase 1/2 clinical study for dry eye disease across 10 clinical centers in the United States. Topline data is expected to be released in Q1 2025. After evaluating the clinical data, a meeting with the FDA will be held to determine the next pivotal clinical study. The company’s IVIEW-1201 project, which focuses on the broad-spectrum acute treatment of conjunctivitis, has completed Phase 2 clinical studies. A Phase 3 clinical trial application for bacterial conjunctivitis is expected to be submitted to the FDA by the end of 2024, and an application for adenoviral conjunctivitis is expected to be submitted to the FDA in 2025. Based on excellent preclinical safety and efficacy data, the company’s self-developed innovative ophthalmic gene therapy for glaucoma will initiate its First-In-Human clinical trial in Q1 2025.
