Centurykang Announces NMPA Approval of Its Multifocal Intraocular Lens for Cataract Patients

Recently, the National Medical Products Administration approved the innovative product registration application for multifocal intraocular lenses from Tianjin Century Healthcare Biomedical Engineering Co., Ltd.
This product is a single-piece posterior chamber intraocular lens made of hydrophobic acrylic material, with UV absorber added, and it is foldable. It is suitable for vision correction in aphakic eyes of adult cataract patients, with the aim to improve near, intermediate, and far vision and reduce dependence on glasses.
The pharmaceutical supervision and management department will strengthen the post-marketing supervision of this product to protect the safety of patients using medical devices.
