Top 50 Emerging Biotech Innovators of the Sixth Edition – Raytne (Shenzhen Raytne BioPharmaceutical Co., Ltd.) announced the completion of an angel round of financing worth tens of millions of yuan.This round of financing was jointly completed by Qinzhi Capital, the National Innovation Center for High-Performance Medical Devices, KeyMed Technology (688356.SH), and Daotong Investment. Dingqi Consulting served as the exclusive financial advisor. The funds will be used to advance the clinical trials of the company’s core pipeline, and to accelerate the technological development and pipeline expansion of the iSus® sustained-release platform.
Raytne was founded in 2021, focusing on solving the pain point of frequent dosing with eye drop formulations through its core technology of ocular biodegradable long-acting sustained-release. Its key platform technology, iSus®, enables drug delivery lasting from several days to months on the ocular surface and in the posterior segment of the eye, significantly improving patient compliance and treatment outcomes.

Recently,Top 50 Biotech Innovation Enterprises of the First Session ——Akeso's subsidiary, Akeso Huike (Shanghai) Biotechnology Co., Ltd., has received clinical tacit approval for its self-developed LAG-3/PD-1 bispecific antibody "AK129 Injection."The proposed indication is for the treatment of advanced solid tumors with AK129, a bispecific antibody targeting PD-1 and LAG-3. This marks the fourth approved clinical indication for AK129 injection.
AK129 is a bispecific antibody independently developed by Akeso that targets human PD-1 and LAG3. Preclinical research results presented at the AACR 2022 Annual Meeting showed that, compared to the combination therapy of PD-1 and LAG-3 antibodies, AK129 mediates stronger immune activation. AK129 not only demonstrates superior antigen binding and effectively blocks the PD-1/LAG-3 signaling pathway but also promotes the production of IL-2 and IFN-γ in PBMCs. Additionally, AK129 exhibited potent antitumor activity in animal experiments.
