Developer of Anti-Tumor Gene Therapy Drugs
Recently, Dabo Bio announced that its self-developed human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cell injection (E10I) has received the clinical trial implied permission from the National Medical Products Administration. This marks the official entry into the clinical stage of China's first "off-the-shelf" stem cell new drug prepared using a fully enclosed, fully automatic, and scaled process. The drug will be used for the treatment of type 2 diabetes.

According to data from the International Diabetes Federation, the number of people with diabetes worldwide is growing at an annual rate of 4.3%, and is expected to reach 643 million by 2030. Faced with the challenge that traditional glucose-lowering therapies struggle to effectively control the condition, stem cell regenerative medicine is regarded as a key treatment strategy with the potential to reverse the progression of diabetes due to its unique ability to repair pancreatic β-cell function and improve insulin resistance. Human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells, which are easy to obtain, free from ethical controversies, possess strong biological activity and differentiation capabilities, and can be used without the need for matching, have become an ideal therapeutic choice.
Guangzhou Dabo Biological Products Co., Ltd., as a high-tech enterprise with a rich pipeline and independent innovation capabilities in the field of anti-tumor innovative drugs and regenerative medicine, is committed to promoting the development of biopharmaceuticals through independent research and development, clinical studies, and commercial production. The company has established GMP production workshops that meet international standards and has set up several provincial and municipal key laboratories as well as new drug R&D platforms, continuously advancing the research and application of innovative drugs.
