Recently,Global Vision Medical(02407.HK) wholly-owned subsidiary Global Vision Corporation, which acts as the agent for GermanyHeidelbergHeidelberg)ANTERION Ophthalmic Diagnostic Device (All-in-One Anterior Segment Multi-Modal Imaging and Diagnosis Platform)Obtained Medical Device Registration Certificate from the China Food and Drug AdministrationThis instrument integrates multiple functions, can improve the efficiency of ophthalmic diagnosis and treatment, and enrich the group's product portfolio.

This product has been launched in the U.S. market since 2024 and is aIntegrated with biometer, corneal topographer, and anterior segment OCTThe multi-modal imaging diagnostic platform plays an important role in various ophthalmic subspecialties such as refractive, corneal diseases, glaucoma, and optometry. In refractive surgery, the ANTERION ophthalmic detector can accurately evaluate corneal epithelial thickness and visual quality, guiding personalized ablation.Solution: In cataract surgery, combining corneal topography with biometric data can reduce the risk of postoperative refractive surprises.
Application of ANTERION Ophthalmic DetectorSS-OCT Technology at 1300nm Wavelength, with the characteristics of strong penetrability, fast scanning speed, and high imaging resolution, combined withEye-tracking and Ray-tracing TechnologiesProviding efficient and comprehensive anterior segment diagnosis and treatment solutions, one device can complete multiple examinations, significantly optimizing clinical workflow and improving the efficiency of anterior segment diagnosis and treatment.

# Product Details
Anterion adopts Swept-Source OCT (SS-OCT) imaging technology with a wavelength of 1300nm, enabling high-resolution imaging and precise measurement of the anterior segment of the eye. It provides clearer and more in-depth images of the anterior segment structures, reducing patient discomfort during the examination process.
It can penetrate deeper into tissues, thus offering an advantage in imaging depth. In contrast, traditional TD-OCT technology typically uses shorter wavelengths (e.g., 800nm), which limits its penetration depth.
In February 2025, Heidelberg received approval from the U.S. FDA for itsNew Epithelial Thickness Module on Anterion® Cornea App Enables Precise Measurement and Mapping of Epithelium and Stroma. After the software update, it added clinical functions such as the epithelial thickness module and corneal expansion view, which are helpful for planning cataract and refractive surgeries.
Product Features
  • Measured in full:By using the same deviceAcquire All Measurement Data at OnceRapid RecognitionOther factors that may lead to unexpected postoperative refraction; more additional data (wavefront aberrationsDifference, PIA, k-angle, etc.) assist doctors in making choices when selecting high-end intraocular lenses.More accurate judgment.

Measured Accurately:OCT images can be used to confirm the measurement results, with easier penetration through hard tissues.Nuclear cataract, with manually adjustable stratification line and eye axis diagram, provides support for surgical planning.Judgment basis.

Accurate Calculation:Monofocal, multifocal, astigmatism, functional lens calculation achieved in one machine, fullThe corneal data analysis on the surface provides more solutions for difficult eye calculations, in addition to conventional IOL calculations. The calculation formulas also include the Barrett Suite and the OKULIX formula.

  • Eye-tracking Technology, real-time monitoring of eye movements to ensure the stability and accuracy of imaging.

  • Ray-tracing TechnologyBy simulating the propagation path of light within the eye, optical performance and visual quality are evaluated. This technology helps doctors better understand the optical properties of the cornea and lens, optimizing surgical plans.

# Case Series Study
Research Methods
A retrospective study was conducted at Seoul National University Hospital in Korea, enrolling 47 eyes from 29 cataract patients.Research UseAnterion、CASIA2(Tomey (Japan), and IOL Master 700 (Carl Zeiss, Germany), key parameters such as the anterior corneal curvature, total corneal curvature, central corneal thickness (CCT), anterior chamber depth (ACD), lens thickness (LT), and axial length (AL) were measured. Consistency between devices was evaluated using the intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC) and Bland-Altman analysis.
Research Results
  • Anterion performs excellently in multiple key parameters. The table below shows the ocular biometry and ICC values of three devices (ICC value definitions are as follows: <0.75 indicates poor to moderate reliability; 0.75–0.90 indicates good reliability; >0.90 indicates excellent reliability).
图片
  • In important parameters such as anterior corneal curvature, axial length, central corneal thickness, anterior chamber depth, and lens thickness,The ICC values between Anterion and IOL Master 700 are all greater than 0.90.Especially in terms of axial length (AL) measurement, it shows higher consistency with the IOL Master 700.(ICC value of 0.999). The average difference between the two is only 0.005 mm, which means that in IOL calculations,The measurement results of Anterion and IOL Master 700 are almost interchangeable.
  • ANTERION also demonstrated better consistency (ICC values all greater than 0.90) in parameters such as anterior corneal curvature, central corneal thickness, anterior chamber depth, and lens thickness, further proving its reliability in ocular biometry.
ANTERION Performs Excellently in Ocular Biometry, Particularly in Axial Length Measurement, Showing Good Consistency with IOLMaster 700.
