Bochuang Bio and East China University of Science and Technology Unveil Joint Ophthalmic Biomaterials Laboratory, Marking a New Chapter in Industry-Academia Collaboration

The unveiling ceremony was hosted by Professor Xue Qu, doctoral supervisor of East China University of Science and Technology and winner of the National Outstanding Youth Fund. Professor Yuanyuan Yuan, Party Secretary of the School of Materials Science and Engineering of East China University of Science and Technology, and Dr. Haoqi Tan, General Manager of Bochuang Biotech, signed the cooperation agreement for the joint laboratory. The signing was witnessed by Academician Changsheng Liu, Director of the Engineering Research Center of Medical Biomedical Materials, Ministry of Education, East China University of Science and Technology, and Professor Xue Qu. After the two parties formally signed the cooperation agreement, Academician Changsheng Liu and Dr. Haoqi Tan, General Manager of Bochuang Biotech, jointly unveiled the joint laboratory.

The unveiling and establishment of this joint laboratory not only deepens the cooperative relationship but also ignites a passionate collision of innovative sparks!Academician Changsheng Liu pointed out in his speech: "The establishment of the joint laboratory will focus on three principles: 'demand-oriented, collaborative innovation, and industry leadership,' with an emphasis on breaking through key technological bottlenecks in ophthalmic biomaterials. He emphasized that the laboratory needs to break away from traditional research models and establish a flexible mechanism for transforming achievements, promoting the transition of technology from the lab to clinical applications."Achieving innovative breakthroughs from 0 to 1 for the service of health, aligning with international standards, and transforming 1 into 10 and then into 100 is precisely where the value of research lies. This process is akin to a hen hatching eggs, gradually incubating multiple technologies, establishing related enterprises, and then forming close ties with schools to create a complete innovation chain. From original innovation, integrated innovation to application technology innovation, our industry status will undoubtedly rise further.
