On May 23, Suzhou Ribo Biotech announced its collaboration with Qilu Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. to developTargeted PCSK9 Small Nucleic Acid Drug RBD7022/QLC7401 for HyperlipidemiaPhase 2 Clinical Trial (CTR20244751) Completes Enrollment of All Patients.

According to public information,RBD7022RiboBio's RiboGalSTARTM platform-developed GalNAc-siRNA drug precisely inhibits liver PCSK9 protein expression, providing a long-term reduction in low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) levels. This technological breakthrough overcomes the limitation of traditional drugs requiring frequent dosing, as a single injection can achieve continuous lipid-lowering effects for several months, offering a better treatment option for patients with hyperlipidemia.
In December 2023, Ribo Biotech and Qilu Pharmaceutical reached an agreement to license the development, manufacturing, and commercialization rights of RBD7022 in Greater China (Mainland, Hong Kong, Macao) to Qilu Pharmaceutical. Ribo Biotech will receive a total of over 700 million RMB in upfront and milestone payments.
