Mabwell Biosciences (688062.SH) Enters into Exclusive Licensing Agreement with Qilu Pharmaceutical for Agetistim Alfa for Injection

("T-mab Bio"), have signed a "New Drug Project Technology License Agreement" with Qilu Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. ("Qilu Pharmaceutical") for the marketed product Pegagrastim Alfa for Injection (brand name: Mailesheng®, product code: 8MW0511). According to the license agreement, Mabwell grants Qilu Pharmaceutical exclusive rights to develop, manufacture, improve, utilize, and commercialize the licensed product within Greater China. The upfront payment and sales milestones total up to RMB 500 million, including a one-time, non-refundable upfront payment of RMB 380 million and royalties of up to double-digit percentages of net sales of the licensed product.

The announcement shows that Aragstim α for Injection (8MW0511) is a recombinant (yeast secretion-type) human serum albumin-human granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (I) fusion protein for injection. It is suitable for adult patients with non-myeloid malignancies receiving myelosuppressive anti-cancer drugs that are prone to cause febrile neutropenia, and the product is used to reduce the incidence of infections manifested as febrile neutropenia.

The announcement stated that, through the signing of this agreement, the company and Qilu Pharmaceutical have established a cooperative relationship in the field of long-acting white blood cell boosting drugs. The aim is to achieve complementary advantages and resource sharing between the cooperating parties. By leveraging their respective resources and strengths, both parties will achieve mutual benefits and win-win results, which is conducive to the commercialization of the company's products.
