Provider of Vision Health Management Services for Children and Adolescents

Recently, MetaVision (Shanghai Rui Shi Health Technology Co., Ltd.) announced the completion of a multi-million yuan A2 round of financing. This funding will be mainly used for the R&D iteration of the company's core products, acceleration of Class III medical device registration applications, and market channel expansion.
MetaVision, established in 2017 in Shanghai, is a high-tech medical service smart platform company dedicated to providing full-life-cycle eye health management and myopia management for children and adolescents. It has pioneered AI light-eye-brain neural regulation technology, integrating artificial intelligence, optical engineering, neuroscience, and clinical optometry. Focusing on key dimensions such as dynamic defocus, photobiology, myopic defocus, and contrast, the company develops digital regulation tools, driving innovation in far-vision technology and a comprehensive suite of digital solutions for myopia management.
The company's products include the self-developed and produced distance-based product series such as the Vision Training Device D1, Vision Training Device MAX 2.0, and Distance Light Screen PLUS 2.0, which are equipped with MetaVision’s independently and originally developed Digital Distance Defocus Technology System. Using digital display devices as a medium, this system achieves digitalization and personalization of optical defocus, LCA (Longitudinal Chromatic Aberration), and contrast through unique optical hardware and software technologies to directionally regulate visual pathways.
The funds from this round of financing will be mainly used in two directions: (1) Medical qualification breakthrough: Advancing the registration application for Class III medical devices to further enhance the medical attributes of the products and raise market entry standards. (2) Technology iteration and scenario expansion: Deepening the exploration of the regulation mechanism of light signals on brain visual neural pathways, expanding the compound functions of "eye protection + improving learning efficiency," covering users aged 3-18 across all age groups. Meanwhile, the company plans to build a closed-loop service system of "detection-training-feedback" through an online and offline integrated channel strategy. The company's products have been deployed in over 400 cities in China and are available in more than 600 professional institutions.
Dr. Yao Jun, founder of MetaVision, stated: MetaVision redefines health and education scenarios for teenagers through an AI-driven integrated medical-grade digital solution of "eye-brain phototherapy + precision learning," providing scientific digital myopia prevention and control for children and adolescents, as well as digital whole-life-cycle eye health management, ensuring 170 million children and adolescents are free from worries about myopia and learning.
