Recently, Chimigen Bio (Chengdu) Co., Ltd. ("Chimigen Bio"), which focuses on the development of innovative therapeutic vaccines, announced the official completion of its Pre-A round of financing. This round of financing was oversubscribed, with a total scale of nearly 170 million yuan. Following the first close of the company’s Pre-A round in February this year, it continued to attract new investors and existing shareholders who increased their investments.

This round of financing was led by SDIC Venture Capital Co., Ltd., with participation from CASSTAR, Guosheng Innovation, and existing shareholder LapamCapital, among others. The funds will be used to accelerate the global early clinical development of core products SN3001 (prostate cancer therapeutic vaccine) and SN2001 (chronic hepatitis B immunotherapy vaccine), upgrade the R&D center, and further expand the pipeline of subsequent cancer therapeutic vaccines.

Chimigen Bio, established in 2021, is a clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on the development of innovative immunotherapies for the two major disease areas of oncology and viral infections. The company is committed to advancing multiple therapeutic vaccine pipelines through its proprietary SynNeogen® technology, actively building a global network for clinical and commercial collaborations to reshape the paradigm of immunotherapy. Since its inception, the company has attracted a total of 280 million yuan in venture capital.

The founder of the company, Shi Yueyear, graduated from Peking University. He served as a professor at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and the Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New York, as well as a professor and doctoral supervisor at Nanjing Medical University. He founded OncoRegene Bio, advancing its core product Oregovomab (the world's first therapeutic vaccine for primary ovarian cancer) into global pivotal Phase I clinical trials. He has profound experience and understanding of immunotherapy.
