Hengsai Biotech, as a high-tech enterprise and innovative small business, has been deeply engaged in the research and industrialization of dendritic cell vaccines (DC vaccines) since its establishment in November 2018. Relying on its self-developed Eco-DC Vax technology platform, the company has achieved key breakthroughs in the safety, efficacy, and large-scale production of tumor vaccines. Its leading product, KSD-101, is the world's first broad-spectrum DC vaccine targeting EBV and also China’s first original DC vaccine to receive an FDA IND approval in the United States, with strong technical barriers and significant international competitiveness.
The Lingang R&D and production base put into operation this time is the core carrier for Hengsai Biotech to complete the "research-industrialization" full-chain layout.The base has a construction area of more than 6,300 square meters, equipped with industry-leading facilities and equipment. The total investment is about 700 million yuan, with an annual production capacity of up to 5,000 person-doses, and an expected annual output value of approximately 1.5 billion yuan.The completion of the new production base will further fill the gap in China's DC vaccine industrialization, bringing new hope to patients in fields such as recurrent and refractory tumors, chronic viral infections, and autoimmune diseases.In recent years, Life Blue Bay has deeply integrated into Shanghai's biopharmaceutical industry development strategy, providing enterprises with full lifecycle support from research and development to industrialization. Hengsai Biotech, in collaboration with top medical institutions such as Shanghai Ruijin Hospital and Fudan University-affiliated Cancer Hospital, has accelerated the implementation of achievements, benefiting local patients while attracting a group of high-end talents.
