Olympus Partners Again with Chinese Endoscopy Company

Recently, Olympus announced a global distribution agreement with Yesight Medical. Olympus has obtained the exclusive distribution rights for Yesight Medical's disposable urology series products in the United States, Canada, and parts of Europe and the Asia-Pacific region. This marks Olympus’s second collaboration with a Chinese disposable endoscope company. Previously, Olympus partnered with Avanos Medical, securing disposable bronchoscopes, disposable rhinoscopes, and other disposable endoscopes in the respiratory system field. With this new collaboration with Yesight Medical, Olympus gains access to a disposable urology endoscope series along with related consumables. As disposable endoscopes rise in prominence, the endoscopy landscape has undergone tremendous change. Currently, only Ambu can compete with Chinese disposable endoscope companies in this field, while other foreign enterprises are no longer able to keep up (Boston Scientific has also sought partnerships with Chinese disposable endoscope companies). Therefore, as the leading name in endoscopy, Olympus must collaborate with Chinese companies to make significant progress in the disposable endoscope market.
