From September 12 to 14, 2025, the "Special Seminar on the Integrated Development of Clinical Pathways and Hospital Pharmaceutical Affairs Management & 2025 Annual Meeting of the Editorial Board, Youth Editorial Board, and Online Edition Editorial Board of China Pharmaceuticals Magazine," guided by Southwest University and hosted by the Medical Division of Southwest University Publishing Group and China Pharmaceuticals Magazine, with academic support provided by Qilu Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. and others, was successfully held in Chongqing. Leaders in charge of pharmaceuticals from hospitals across China, heads and managers of pharmaceutical departments, experts and scholars from pharmaceutical colleges and research institutions, personnel from relevant units in the medical and health industry, as well as members of the editorial board, youth editorial board, online edition editorial board, and peer review experts of China Pharmaceuticals Magazine gathered to jointly discuss the integrated development of clinical pathways and hospital pharmaceutical affairs management.

Opening Ceremony

At the opening ceremony, Ge Xinyong, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Vice President of Southwest University, and Chairman of the Editorial Board of China Pharmaceuticals magazine, delivered a speech. He stated that Southwest University highly values the development of journals, and in the future, the university will further integrate the high-quality resources of the School of Pharmacy and the Publishing Group. He expressed his hope to work hand-in-hand with the editorial board members and experts to develop China Pharmaceuticals into a top-tier pharmaceutical academic journal in China, contributing to the high-quality development of the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry and supporting the construction of Healthy China. Wang Li, member of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of the Chongqing Municipal Medical Products Administration, also delivered a speech, fully affirming the contributions made by China Pharmaceuticals over the past 33 years towards the high-quality development of the pharmaceutical industry. He firmly believes that, with the support of Southwest University, the development of China Pharmaceuticals will reach new heights. Zhang Fajun, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Southwest University Publishing Group, stated that the publishing group is committed to developing China Pharmaceuticals into an academic communication platform with first-class influence and will fully support the journal in establishing a high-level academic exchange platform to serve the development of the pharmaceutical industry. Miao Jing, Director of the Brand Strategy Department of Qilu Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech on behalf of Wu Gang, Vice General Manager. Zhang Chen, Chief Editor of the Southwest University Publishing Group, Xu Zhongren, Deputy General Manager, and Ma Jin, Editor-in-Chief of China Pharmaceuticals magazine, were invited to attend the opening ceremony. Multiple experts emphasized that, against the backdrop of ongoing reforms in medical insurance payment methods, clinical pathway management has become a crucial bridge connecting rational drug use, cost control, and healthcare quality. Hospital pharmacy needs to actively shift towards a value-oriented service model, assisting medical institutions in achieving high-quality development through precision pharmaceutical navigation and standardization of drug treatment pathways.

The editorial board of "China Pharmaceutical Industry" magazine was presided over by Professor Xia Peiyuan, chief pharmacist of the First Affiliated Hospital of Army Medical University and executive editor-in-chief of "China Pharmaceutical Industry" magazine. Liu Bin, editor-in-chief of "China Pharmaceutical Industry" magazine, delivered a work report on behalf of the editorial board. He summarized the 2025 publication work of the magazine, showcased the achievements in various fields such as premium content creation, academic activities, integrated publishing development, and health science communication, and analyzed the challenges currently faced by the journal. Looking ahead, "China Pharmaceutical Industry" magazine will fully seize the development opportunities presented by "Big Health," adhere to the service concept of "Big Pharmacy," steadily advance business expansions in journal publishing, book publishing, academic conferences, and more, and strive to build a high-level "125N" academic exchange platform.

Jin Pengfei, Director of the Department of Pharmacy at Beijing Hospital, Associate Editor of "China Pharmaceutical Industry" magazine, and Editor-in-Chief of both the Youth Editorial Board and the online version, delivered a work report on behalf of the editorial board. He systematically reviewed the significant achievements made by the editorial board in content planning, academic quality enhancement, and media integration. Furthermore, he proposed future development plans from multiple dimensions including content innovation, expansion of distribution channels, and youth talent cultivation, emphasizing the continuous strengthening of the editorial board team to further enhance the journal's academic influence.
