Interface News learned from EssilorLuxottica that on September 25, its Essilor Stellest lenses received U.S. market approval through the FDA's De Novo pathway, becoming the first spectacle lenses clinically proven to slow myopia progression in children to be approved by the U.S. FDA. Prospective randomized double-blind multicenter clinical data in the U.S. showed that over two years, the lenses slowed myopia progression by an average of 71%.
