Recently, Medpark company Yaoshi (Suzhou) Medical Technology Co., Ltd. ("Yesight") completed an A+ round of financing worth tens of millions of yuan. This round was strategically led by Oriza Hua, with Haihong Jinsu participating, and Multi-Dimensional Capital serving as the exclusive financial advisor. The funds raised will mainly be used to accelerate the commercialization of Yesight's core product, the ultra-widefield confocal laser scanning ophthalmoscope (Scanning Laser Ophthalmoscope, SLO), both in China and internationally, as well as the research and development of multiple innovative ophthalmic optical devices, further solidifying its leading position in the industry.

Currently, the spectrum of ophthalmic diseases is showing two major trends: the aging population and the high incidence of chronic diseases have led to a continuously expanding base of patients with fundus lesions. At the same time, diagnostic and treatment needs are shifting towards "early screening, early diagnosis, early treatment" and "grassroots decentralization." However, traditional fundus camera technology has limitations such as a restricted field of view and reliance on pupil dilation, making it difficult to meet the demand for efficient and accurate screening.Driven by the dual engines of policy support and artificial intelligence technology development, fundus examination equipment is becoming an important entry point for eye health management.

According to Frost & Sullivan data forecasts, the market size of China's ophthalmic medical diagnostic equipment will reach 4.6 billion yuan by 2025 and increase to 8 billion yuan by 2030. As a core component, fundus examination is becoming a golden track with both social and commercial value.Currently, Yesight has established a multi-dimensional leading advantage in this field.

Yesight, located in the accelerator of Jiangsu Medical Device Technology Park, is a company focusing on ophthalmic medical device innovation. It integrates the research and development, production, sales of innovative ophthalmic optical platforms, and AI big data research. The company has a senior technical team whose members are from Fortune 500 companies or internationally renowned ophthalmic equipment companies, while others have nearly 20 years of industry work experience. They have profound talent accumulation in core image processing, optical design, product industrialization, and engineering. Currently, the company has established production and R&D centers in Suzhou, Nantong, and Japan respectively. Based on high-end ophthalmic optical platforms, the company is committed to innovating ophthalmic diagnosis and screening technologies.

To address the shortcomings of traditional fundus camera technology, Yesight has developed the "Yetsea" ultra-widefield laser scanning ophthalmoscope series, including the Yetsea100, 200, and 300 models. These products resolve the pain points of traditional technology across six dimensions, providing the most suitable solutions for medical institutions at different levels.

  • Wide imaging range.168°Ultra-Wide Angle ImagingCompared with the imaging range of 30°-50° of traditional fundus cameras, it has greatly improved. The company's patented infrared panoramic shooting technology allows a single shot to cover more than 270°, fully covering the entire retina range, significantly reducing the missed diagnosis rate of peripheral retinal lesions.

  • No need for pupil dilation.This is particularly important for patients with conditions such as glaucoma, who cannot undergo pupil dilation, and for patients with diabetes, who have difficulty with pupil dilation.

  • Fast imaging speed.Industry-first automatic alignment integrated technology can significantly reduce actual shooting time;

  • High image resolution.The highest resolution of the image can reach 4.9μm, with 3120×3120 pixels, capturing fundus images that conventional fundus cameras cannot image;

  • Strong penetration.Imaging is performed using four types of lasers: red, blue, green, and infrared, which offer stronger penetration and broaden the scope of application for fundus examination.

  • Achieve multimodal imaging.The device incorporates the concept of multimodal imaging. The acquired autofluorescence images and fluorescence angiography offer higher lesion contrast compared to traditional cameras.

Notably, Yesight's original "Any Door" function (patent applied) achieves a revolutionary upgrade in fundus diagnosis from 2D static images to animations, providing a brand-new diagnostic and treatment model for fundus examination.

The core performance of the "Yetsea" series ultra-wide-angle laser scanning ophthalmoscope has reached an internationally advanced level. By continuously building and improving the localized supply chain system, it demonstrates significant advantages in response speed and service depth compared to imported brands.

It is reported that while deeply cultivating the domestic market in China, Yesight has initiated its overseas layout, reaching exclusive strategic cooperation with multiple technology listed companies in countries such as Japan, promoting its technology export and accelerating global market expansion.

In the future, Yesight will focus on clinical needs, continue to develop high-quality diagnostic equipment combined with AI algorithms, expand its product portfolio, deepen strategic cooperation in domestic and overseas markets, and accelerate the commercialization process.

Regarding this round of financing,Yesight Founder Wu Haizhou SaidThe funds will be used to accelerate the marketization process of the ultra-widefield confocal laser scanning ophthalmoscope product, and to further the research and development of high-end diagnostic equipment in key areas of ophthalmic diseases such as fundus, anterior segment, and refractive conditions. The goal is to provide clinicians with more powerful diagnostic tools and contribute to the development of China's ophthalmology industry.

Yuanhe Puhua Partner Hu Yingping stated, The vast ophthalmology market in China urgently needs innovative user experiences and affordable testing products. The founding team of Yesight possesses internationally leading product experience and is a multidisciplinary team of medical experts and innovative engineering technology. They have successfully launched the world's leading first-generation product and quickly gained market recognition. We look forward to their continued leadership in the industry with China-produced independent innovation.
