Gelonghui October 27 | The tenth batch of national centralized drug procurement organized by the Chinese government officially began accepting submission of application materials from companies today in Qingpu District, Shanghai. The public disclosure of application information will commence at 10:30 AM. This round of national procurement covers 55 varieties, involving over 400 companies, with an average of 14 companies per variety. Cefozopran injections and Dapagliflozin oral immediate-release formulations, among others, are expected to reach billions in sales by 2024. Hengrui Pharma, Qilu Pharmaceutical, Zhengdatianqing, CSPC, AstraZeneca, and others are participating with multiple products.
According to the previously released eleventh batch of national procurement documents, this round of national procurement rules has been comprehensively optimized, adhering to the principles of "stabilizing clinical practice, ensuring quality, countering internal competition, and preventing bid-rigging." For the first time, medical institutions are allowed to report quantities by brand, with greater emphasis on enterprises' quality control levels. The quality threshold for enterprise bidding has been raised, the "anchor points" for price difference control have been optimized, and a new revival mechanism has been introduced, among other measures. Each company is required to commit to quoting no lower than cost, and companies with lower bids must also declare the reasonableness of their quotes to guide healthy market competition.
