Recently,IVACTA Biotechnology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. ("IVACTA Biotechnology"), an innovative company in the global in vivo cell therapy field, announced the completion of an angel round of financing exceeding RMB 100 million. This round of financing was led by Qiming Venture Partners, a global leading venture capital institution, with participation from Apricot Capital,B Capitaland Shunxi Fund co-invested. The financing will mainly be used for the iterative optimization of the core technology platform, as well as the clinical translation and development of the first candidate product in the field of autoimmune diseases.

IVACTA Biotechnology was founded on June 25, 2025, as a spin-off of the in vivo CAR-T platform from Beijing Gracell Biomedicines Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Gracell Biomedicines").IVACTA Biotechnology’s in vivo CAR-T therapy, developed based on a targeted LNP delivery system, focuses on bringing revolutionary treatments to hematologic tumors and autoimmune diseases. It enables CAR expression directly within the patient's T cells, eliminating the need for cell separation, expansion, and lymphodepletion pretreatment required in traditional autologous CAR-T therapies. This approach fundamentally addresses the three core challenges of autologous CAR-T therapies: high cost, long cycle time, and significant toxicity. This is expected to significantly shorten the treatment process cycle, enabling the evolution of cell therapy into off-the-shelf drugs, and greatly improving patient accessibility.
At the same time, IVACTA Biotechnology's targeted LNP delivery system stands out in precision, safety, and production compatibility. It enhances T-cell targeting efficiency through a unique technical approach, effectively reduces off-target risks, and adapts to scaled preparation.;The proprietary targeted technology achieves efficient T-cell activation and long-term CAR expression. It has demonstrated excellent B-cell depletion effects in multiple preclinical models, with good safety upon repeated dosing. The first candidate product has entered clinical trials and has already yielded positive preliminary human data.
As the investor in this round, Dr. Qiang Jing, Managing Partner of Apricot Capital, stated: "Apricot Capital is committed to supporting innovative biopharmaceutical companies that address significant unmet clinical needs. In vivo CAR-T therapy is a key breakthrough in the cell therapy field, transitioning from 'personalized' to 'accessible' treatment. IVACTA Biotechnology has achieved core breakthroughs in precision, safety, and scalable production with its targeted LNP delivery system, effectively addressing the clinical pain points of traditional CAR-T therapies."We highly recognize the team's technical expertise and industrialization capabilities in the field of cell therapy. Xingze Capital will continue to leverage its industrial resource advantages to support IVACTA Biotechnology in accelerating the clinical progress of its candidate products, promoting the early availability of this revolutionary therapy for more patients."
Founder and CEO of IVACTA BiotechnologyCEODr. Liu Yarong said"Thank you for the trust from all investors. As a dedicated player in China's cell therapy field, our team has always been committed to filling unmet clinical needs through technological innovation.IVACTA Biotechnologyin vivo CAR-TThe plan is to promote cell therapy towards‘Off-the-Shelf’、‘Accessibility’An important step in the direction of development. This round of financing will accelerate the realization of IVACTA Biotechnology and itsin vivo CAR-TClinical validation of the pipeline. In the future, we will continue to uphold‘Insight into Needs, Independent Innovation’"The concept aims to bring more innovative treatment options to patients."
