November 7-9, 2025The 40th Annual Meeting of the Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer (SITC)The annual meeting is about to officially open in Maryland, USA. The SITC Annual Meeting is one of the world's largest international top-tier events focused on cancer immunotherapy, dedicated to advancing the science and application of cancer immunotherapy, discovering breakthrough progress, and improving the prognosis for all cancer patients.

The latest clinical breakthrough of Juncell Therapeutics' GC101 has also been included. AGrade Ⅳ GlioblastomaPatient's MenstruationJust four weeks after a single infusion of GC101 TIL, the tumor was completely eliminated, and the patient has maintained tumor-free survival for over 20 months.Brings new hope for the treatment of such advanced malignant tumors. This latest breakthrough will be shared synchronously with global industry experts in the form of posters and online.

As one of the most common primary intracranial tumors, glioma is considered a "tough challenge" in the field of oncology due to its high malignancy and strong heterogeneity — traditional surgery combined with radiotherapy and chemotherapy not only struggles to completely eliminate the lesion but also comes with severe side effects. The median survival period for patients is 6-10 months, with a 5-year survival rate of less than 10%. More challenging is the blood-brain barrier, which acts as a "natural barrier," preventing the vast majority of drugs from entering, thereby significantly impacting their therapeutic efficacy.

Relying on Juncell Therapeutics' self-developedDeepTIL™ Technology Platform,Its unique segmented process has achieved key technological innovation. Tumor tissue is obtained from the patient during the initial surgery, and TIL seed cells are pre-stored. Upon recurrence, these cells are rapidly revived, cultured, and reinfused, reducing waiting time while preserving highly active cytotoxic cells.

Conventional IL-2-dependent TIL therapy for glioblastoma has certain limitations: on the one hand, it is difficult to culture clinical-grade TIL cells from "cold tumors"; on the other hand, IL-2 injection may increase the risk of serious adverse reactions such as intracranial edema and cerebral hemorrhage.

Juncell Therapeutics GC101 Innovative TIL TherapyNo lymphodepletion preconditioning required, no IL-2 injection needed, which can autonomously cross the blood-brain barrier after intravenous infusion, precisely targeting and killing tumors. It also offers the advantages of rapid onset, long-lasting effects, and minimal side effects. This breakthrough in the field of glioblastoma isGC101 Following Pancreatic Cancer, Melanoma, Lung Cancer, Gynecological Tumors(Click to review the case report)Another major advancement following various types of cancer,Expected to completely change the treatment landscape of glioblastoma.

Recurrence Means Dead End

Glioblastoma Presses the Countdown of Life

At the beginning of 2023, Mr. W was diagnosed with glioblastoma (IDH wild-type, WHO Grade IV, EGFR amplification). This subtype is one of the most malignant and hardest to treat types of glioma, and at the moment of diagnosis, an invisible hand pressed the countdown button on his life.

From Despair to Hope

The Astonishing Transformation Behind an MRI Image

At the brink of danger, Mr. W first underwent a high-risk brain tumor resection surgery, followed by chemotherapy with temozolomide and radiation therapy post-surgery; however, his condition was not controlled. Subsequently, he tried two different targeted CAR-T therapies, completing more than 10 intratumoral injections in total, yet the tumor deterioration could not be continuously halted.

Patient Treatment History

At the end of 2023, just as Mr. W and his family were falling into despair, a turning point arrived quietly. Mr. W successfully joined the GC101 clinical trial and received TIL cell infusion therapy (the cells were sourced and cultured from his surgery a year prior). Just four weeks after the infusion, imaging showed that the tumor in his brain had been completely eliminated, with the treatment effect assessed as complete remission (CR). There has been no recurrence since, and he has maintained a tumor-free survival state for over 20 months. Today, Mr. W has long been freed from the confines of his hospital bed, reborn, and returned to a hard-earned normal life.

As of now, this case not only刷新了复发性胶质母细胞瘤的生存纪录 (refreshed the survival record for recurrent glioblastoma), but also再次验证了TIL疗法的持久疗效 (once again validated the long-lasting efficacy of TIL therapy) with vivid clinical data, while also providing..."Early Harvest, Reinfusion of TIL After Relapse"Provides critical clinical evidence for treatment strategies, bringing hope to countless patients with solid tumors who are in desperate situations.
