Laekna Pharma Enters Exclusive Licensing Agreement with Qilu Pharmaceutical for Afuresertib, Potentially Receiving Up to RMB 2.045 Billion in Upfront and Milestone Payments

Laekna Therapeutics announced on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange this morning that, on November 12, 2025, the Group entered into an exclusive licensing agreement with Qilu Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. Under the terms and conditions of the licensing agreement, Qilu Pharmaceutical has been granted an exclusive license to research, develop, and commercialize LAE002 (afuresertib) in the China region (including mainland China, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, the Macao Special Administrative Region, and Taiwan region). The Group will be responsible for completing the Phase III clinical trial of HR+/HER2- breast cancer. In return, until the first indication receives new drug application approval in China, the Group is entitled to receive non-refundable upfront and clinical development milestone payments totaling up to RMB 530 million. According to the licensing agreement, the Group is entitled to receive total upfront and milestone payments of up to RMB 2.045 billion. The Group is also entitled to receive tiered royalties on future net sales of LAE002 (afuresertib) in the licensed territory, with royalty rates ranging from over ten percentage points to over twenty percentage points.
